Kwaku Asante says the further amendment to the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill to exempt journalists, lawyers, academics and other professionals highlights concerns about the bill’s constitutional viability. Rightify Ghana expresses deep concern over the decision by the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, to suspend parliamentary sittings for three days to make way for the 4th African Inter-Parliamentary Conference on Family Values and Sovereignty, a controversial gathering widely criticised by human rights advocates as an anti-rights conference.
